Background

The University of North Dakota (UND) is seeking qualified janitorial service contractors to provide comprehensive healthcare-grade cleaning services at the Minot Center for Family Medicine. This initiative aims to ensure a clean and safe environment in a medical facility, adhering to strict healthcare infection control standards.

Work Details

The contractor will provide comprehensive janitorial services for the 25,379 square foot Center for Family Medicine, which includes patient examination rooms, waiting areas, administrative offices, restrooms, corridors, and common areas. Services must be performed after regular business hours from Monday through Friday to minimize disruption to patient care. The contractor must demonstrate experience with healthcare facility cleaning and knowledge of CDC Guidelines for Environmental Infection Control. The contract includes a five-year initial term with five optional one-year renewal periods. Performance requirements include maintaining a minimum 95% performance level and correcting deficiencies within 24 hours. Cleaning products must be EPA-registered hospital-grade effective against healthcare-associated pathogens. Quality control procedures include weekly inspections and monthly joint inspections with UND management.

Period of Performance

The contract will commence on July 1, 2026, and run through June 30, 2031, with potential extensions for up to ten years.

The services will be performed at the Minot Center for Family Medicine located at 1201 11th Ave SW, Minot, North Dakota.

Bidder Requirements

Proposers must have at least three years of experience providing janitorial services to commercial or institutional facilities and demonstrate financial capacity to perform the contract. They must also obtain required insurance coverage including general liability insurance with minimum limits of $1 million per occurrence and $2 million aggregate.
