Background The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) is responsible for managing public lands and ensuring the preservation of cultural resources. This contract aims to conduct a Class III Cultural Resource Inventory in the Kremmling Field Office area, specifically targeting locations affected by timber sales and restoration projects. The inventory is mandated under Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act to identify and evaluate cultural resources that may be impacted by proposed actions. Work Details The contractor will perform a Class III archaeological inventory over approximately 1,183 acres in Grand, Jackson, and Larimer Counties, Colorado. The tasks include: - Conducting a 100% pedestrian inventory at intervals of 15-20 meters; - Identifying and recording all cultural resources over 50 years old; - Revisiting previously recorded sites; - Documenting new sites with OAHP management data forms; - Testing potentially eligible sites for depth potential and integrity; - Ensuring all findings are reported in compliance with BLM standards. The project also includes the preparation of three reports: a Letter Report (35% of total), a Draft Final Report (35% of total), and a Final Report (30% of total). The final report must adhere to specific formatting requirements, including confidentiality statements regarding site locations. Period of Performance The contract period is from March 16, 2026, to December 31, 2026. Place of Performance The work will be conducted in various locations within Grand, Jackson, and Larimer Counties, Colorado.
