Background The North Carolina Department of Public Safety is seeking a vendor to repair exterior fascia, soffit, gutters, and roof repairs at the North Carolina National Guard Readiness Center located at 130 Culbreth Avenue, Thomasville, North Carolina. This project aims to address excessive leaks causing interior damage and ensure the facility's structural integrity. Work Details The contractor is required to furnish labor and materials for the following tasks: 1. **Demo and Preparation**: Remove and dispose of existing commercial box gutters, downspouts, and perimeter metal flashing along 800 linear feet (LF). Remove loose gravel and asphalt from the roof perimeter while protecting adjacent building components during work. 2. **Soffit and Fascia**: Remove rotted wood at identified locations (soffit approximately 39’ x 7’ and fascia approximately 39’ x 1’) and replace deteriorated substrate. Furnish and replace soffit panels and aluminum-wrapped fascia suitable for gutter attachment. 3. **Gutters and Downspouts**: Install new commercial box style gutters along 800 LF, including hangers, outlets, end caps, and sealants. Install new downspouts with straps. 4. **Roof Repair**: Perform BUR perimeter roof repair by pulling back 12-18 inches of gravel and asphalt along the roof perimeter. Cut back existing BUR plies as required. Inspect and replace deteriorated perimeter wood nailer only where exposed. 5. **Flashing Installation**: Install a new perimeter flashing system embedded in hot asphalt followed by new gravel stop/drip-edge flashing aligned to discharge into gutters. 6. All work must comply with applicable codes, regulations, and industry standards. Period of Performance The contractor is expected to complete all repairs within 30 days of the purchase order being issued unless alternative arrangements are made. Place of Performance All work will be performed at the North Carolina National Guard Readiness Center located at 130 Culbreth Avenue, Thomasville, North Carolina. Bidder Requirements Vendors must be registered in good standing with North Carolina's Electronic Vendor Portal (eVP).
