Background The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) is seeking competitive pricing for Private Recreational Discard Camera Monitoring to enhance the management of fish and wildlife resources. The goal is to improve the quality of recreational discard information available for important reef fish species in Florida, addressing deficiencies in current data collection methods. Work Details The contract involves providing 20 electronic monitoring systems (EMS) that can be temporarily installed on private recreational fishing vessels. Each EMS must include: - Two cameras with a minimum resolution of 1080p/2MP at 30 frames per second and a field of view of at least 120 degrees. - A power source lasting at least 12 hours, GPS for location tracking, and a control panel for footage storage. - Video review software that allows annotation and data collection from footage, supporting at least 8 users. - Technical support and training for both the EMS units and software must be provided for the duration of the project (24 months). Deliverables include all necessary accessories such as batteries, chargers, casings, cables, data storage devices, and mounting devices. Period of Performance The contract will be effective for two years upon issuance of the Purchase Order, with specific deliverables due by April 30, 2026.
