Synagogue Expansion and Renovation Project at 120-132 N County Rd

A recent meeting document Town of Palm Beach - Town Council Agenda - 2026-06-10 indicates a future potential acquisition The Palm Beach Orthodox Synagogue INC (Rabbi Moshe Scheiner) has filed an application requesting Town Council review and approval for a modification to the previously approved Special Exception for an existing synagogue located at 120 N County Road into an abutting existing building previously occupied by the Chez Jean Pierre restaurant at 132 N County Road and an increased sanctuary worship capacity for additional patrons in the existing sanctuary space in a combination of fixed and folding seating and standing room areas. The application also consists of a modification to the existing Declaration of Use Agreement dated May 12, 2008. This type of project typically requires architectural, engineering, and construction services, as well as potential technology upgrades (e.g., AV, security systems), and may result in RFPs for design, construction, and consulting vendors.
