Background The United States Air Force (USAF) is seeking industry input for a potential contract action related to Cathodic Protection Services at Beale Air Force Base (AFB). This sources sought notice is intended for market research purposes only and does not constitute a solicitation for proposals. The goal of this contract is to ensure the integrity and functionality of cathodic protection systems installed on water tanks at Beale AFB, which are critical for preventing corrosion. Work Details The contractor shall provide all supervision, personal protection equipment (PPE), labor, tools, equipment, transportation, materials, and incidentals necessary to test and validate eight existing cathodic protection systems on Beale AFB water tanks. The work includes: 1) Conducting inspections in accordance with UFC 3-570-6; 2) Preparing an Annual Performance Booklet that includes priorities for testing, troubleshooting, and repairs; 3) Submitting a detailed project plan at least ten working days prior to the start of work; 4) Performing inspections that include tank-to-water potential profiling, electrical measurements of anodes and reference cells, inspecting and cleaning rectifiers and connections, adjusting systems for optimal corrosion control, and submitting reports with data evaluations and recommendations; 5) Ensuring all inspections are documented on AF IMT 1689; 6) Not altering existing systems without prior approval from the Project Manager; 7) Cleaning up the work site daily; 8) Complying with environmental regulations regarding hazardous materials; 9) Maintaining safety standards as per federal and state laws.
