Evidence-Based Literacy Coach & Administrator Training

Background

The Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE) is seeking to provide evidence-based professional development and training for teachers and administrators across the state. This initiative aligns with Missouri’s Read, Lead, Exceed Literacy Initiative and the Missouri Coaching Model. DESE previously collaborated with TNTP, Inc. to implement this model, which utilizes a proprietary coaching data dashboard tailored to Missouri's literacy priorities.

Work Details

The contract involves providing evidence-based training for teachers and administrators utilizing TNTP, Inc.'s proprietary coaching data dashboard. This platform tracks and monitors teacher participation and is uniquely configured to support Missouri’s literacy initiatives. The training will include both face-to-face sessions and online asynchronous components, focusing on professional learning aligned with the science of reading. TNTP, Inc. is the sole provider capable of delivering this training due to the proprietary nature of their system.

Period of Performance

Effective Date of Contract through One Year with three (3) one-year renewal options.

Place of Performance

Statewide in Missouri.

Bidder Requirements

TNTP, Inc. is identified as the only feasible source for this contract due to the proprietary nature of their coaching data dashboard.
