Route 66 Intersection Illuminated Street Name Signs

Background

The City of Lebanon, Missouri, is seeking bids from qualified organizations for the purchase of illuminated street name signs specifically designed for Route 66 intersections. The goal of this contract is to enhance the visibility and aesthetic appeal of these intersections while ensuring compliance with relevant specifications.

Work Details

The contractor will provide illuminated street name signs that meet the following specifications: - One-sided signs capable of mounting to a signal mast arm, including all necessary bracketry. - Illumination via LED lighting with a minimum L70 rating of 50,000 hours. - Accessibility of LED bulbs without removing the sign from its mount. - Replaceable sign name plates without removal. - Frames made of silver/gray powder-coated aluminum. - Inclusion of a conduit elbow with a 36-inch power lead. - No photocell required as one will be used in the cabinet. - Minimum viewable opening of 17.5 inches for standard signs and 23.5 inches for stacked signs. - Compliance with MUTCD standards for lettering size (12/9/9) and color (white on green background). - Use of 3M Diamond Grade sheeting. - Placement of a Route 66 badge approximately 12 inches tall on the left side of the sign. The bid must include quantities for various locations along Route 66: Washington (2), Jackson (2), Springfield Road (2), and Bland (1). Shipping costs should be listed separately, and proofs are required before order placement.

Period of Performance

The contract period will commence upon award and is expected to be completed by June 30, 2026.

The delivery location for the signs is specified as Public Works at 1401 W. Commercial, Lebanon, MO 65536.

Bidder Requirements

Bidders must comply with all conditions outlined in the solicitation documents. They must submit bids electronically through Ion Wave Technologies and agree to allow the City to use its purchasing card for transactions. Bidders are required to have their proposals valid for thirty (30) calendar days post-bid submission.
