Missoula Fire Department Station 1 HVAC

Background

The Missoula Fire Department (MFD) is seeking competitive bids for the construction of the HVAC remodel at MFD Station #1. The project aims to enhance the HVAC system's efficiency and functionality, aligning with the department's mission to provide effective emergency services to the community.

Work Details

The project involves: 1. Removal of existing boilers, HVAC equipment, controls, and associated mechanical components. 2. Installation of new boilers, HVAC equipment, controls, and related mechanical system improvements necessary for a complete and operational HVAC system at MFD Fire Station No. 1. Specific equipment includes Lochinvar KHB155N boilers with a capacity of 155,000 BTU/HR and Daikin fan-coil units (models BCHD0081 and BCHD0061) with varying capacities. The work also includes ductwork modifications, installation of pumps (Grunfos UPMS20-78), and various air devices.

Period of Performance

The contract work is expected to commence after the bid opening on July 7, 2026.

Place of Performance

The work will be performed at MFD Station No. 1 located at 625 E. Pine Street, Missoula, Montana 59802.

Bidder Requirements

Bidders must provide a bid bond or other security as specified in §18-1-203, MCA, amounting to at least ten percent (10%) of the total bid amount. Successful bidders are required to furnish a Performance Bond and a Labor and Materials Payment Bond for one hundred percent (100%) of the contract amount. All contractors and subcontractors must be registered with the Montana Department of Labor and Industry (DLI). Additionally, all laborers must be compensated according to Montana Prevailing Wage Rates.
