Work Details The contractor will perform two preventative maintenance inspections with calibration on all refrigerators and freezers located at the NIH facilities. Specific tasks include: 1. Calibration of temperature display using NIST certified instruments. 2. Inspections of gaskets and door seals. 3. Verification of proper door alignment. 4. Removal of frost/ice build-up around gaskets and doors. 5. Inspection of door latches for operation and proper closure. 6. Verification of alarm systems and battery functionality. 7. Inspection of line cords for frayed wires or degraded insulation. 8. Inspection for loose connections in wiring and door heaters. 9. Inspection of drain pans for leaks or restrictions. 10. Inspection of compressors for amperage draw within manufacturer specifications. 11. Cleaning condenser filters and coils. 12.
