Special Spend for MO DOC Honor Dorms

Background

The Missouri Department of Corrections is issuing this Invitation for Bid (IFB) for a one-time purchase contract to supply items for honor dorms located in various facilities throughout Missouri. The goal of the contract is to provide specific items to offenders in the honor dorms, which include one pair of shoes, one sweatshirt, and one lemon pepper spice per offender. This initiative aims to enhance the living conditions and personal items available to offenders in these specialized housing units.

Work Details

The vendor shall provide the following items as a one-time purchase for each honor dorm offender: 1) One pair of shoes (specific sizes to be determined at the time of order), 2) One sweatshirt (specific sizes to be determined at the time of order), and 3) One lemon pepper spice (size specified on EXHIBIT B). All items must conform to retail quality standards and be delivered within 45 business days of contract award. The vendor must ensure that all products are individually bar-coded and packaged appropriately to prevent damage during shipping. There are no minimum order requirements, as each facility will order one of each item per offender. The estimated population for honor dorms is approximately 456 women and 4544 men across various locations.

Period of Performance

The contract period will commence from the date of award and will last for six months, with potential renewal options available at the discretion of the Department.

Place of Performance

The contract will be performed at various locations throughout Missouri as specified by the Missouri Department of Corrections.

Bidder Requirements

Vendors must be registered in MissouriBUYS with either 'Pending' or 'Approved' status to submit a bid. They must comply with all applicable laws and regulations, including those related to non-discrimination and affirmative action if they have 50 or more employees. Additionally, vendors must not engage in any boycott against Israel if they meet certain criteria outlined in section 34.600, RSMo.
