Background

The California Department of Fish and Wildlife (CDFW) is issuing an Invitation for Bid (IFB) P2620006 for pest management services at the North Central Region 2 campus. The goal of this contract is to ensure a clean and safe environment for staff and visitors by addressing persistent rodent issues that pose health risks and damage property.

Work Details

The contractor will provide monthly pest control services, which include: 1. **Onsite Binders**: Each facility will have binders containing the Agreement, Pesticide Disclosure Notice, Safety Data Sheets, Business and Structural Pest Control Board License, List of Targeted Pests, Pest Thresholds and Recommended Actions, Site Map with Device IDs, Service Reports, and a Sign-in Sheet for each visit. 2. **Pest Control Traps and Devices**: Indoor traps will be provided as needed; exterior bait stations will be placed at 25-75 foot intervals around buildings. Each device must have proper labeling including a unique device number. 3. **Pest Control Service**: Monthly routine pest control services will be performed using environmentally safe methods. The contractor will check in with staff to review updates on pest issues. Targeted pests include ants, spiders, fleas, cockroaches, rats, and mice. Excluded pests are snakes, squirrels, termites, mosquitoes, bats, and worms. 4. **Spider Web Removal**: Monthly removal of spider webs from specified buildings is required. 5. **Callback Services**: Additional services may be provided at no extra charge if pest activity occurs between scheduled visits.

Period of Performance

The contract term is from July 1, 2026 or upon approval by CDFW through June 30, 2029.

Place of Performance

Services will be performed at multiple locations in Rancho Cordova, CA including:

Nimbus Fish Hatchery

- North Central Region 2 Headquarters.

Bidder Requirements

The contractor must possess a valid Structural Pest Control Board License throughout the contract term. Insurance requirements include: - Commercial General Liability ($1M per occurrence) - Automobile Liability ($1M combined single limit) - Pollution Liability ($1M per incident) - Workers Compensation with $1M employer's liability coverage.
