Forklift Certification

Background

The Miami-Dade County People & Internal Operations Department, specifically the Fleet Management Division, is seeking qualified training providers to deliver an OSHA-compliant Online Forklift Trainer Certification Program. The goal of this contract is to prepare and certify one Fleet Manager to serve as an in-house Forklift Safety Trainer and Evaluator. This will enable them to train, evaluate, certify, and recertify employees who operate powered industrial trucks (forklifts).

Work Details

The Contractor shall provide an online Forklift Trainer Certification course that prepares the designated Fleet Manager to: - Become a qualified forklift trainer and evaluator per OSHA 29 CFR 1910.178 requirements. - Develop, administer, and manage an OSHA-compliant forklift operator training and certification program. - Train and evaluate employees who operate powered industrial trucks. - Conduct operator certification and recertification activities. - Deliver classroom, practical, and workplace-specific instruction promoting safe forklift operation. - Perform operator evaluations and maintain training records supporting OSHA compliance. The course must include instruction on OSHA compliance, responsibilities of trainers, development of training programs, effective adult learning techniques, safe operating practices, hazard recognition, operator evaluation methods, and maintaining certification records. Deliverables include online access to the course, course materials, a certificate of completion or trainer certification credential upon successful completion, documentation demonstrating alignment with OSHA standards, and resources for conducting in-house training.

Period of Performance

The contract will commence on the first calendar day of the month succeeding approval by the County Mayor or designee. It will remain in effect until all goods are delivered or services are completed and accepted.

Bidder Requirements

Bidders must submit offers for all items listed in this ITQ; failure to do so may result in rejection of their offer. The awarded bidder's prices must remain fixed during the contract term.
