Work Details

The contractor will be required to supply various chemicals including: 1. Sodium Hypochlorite (13-15%) delivered by tanker in bulk, with an anticipated usage of 15,000 to 25,000 gallons per year. 2. Sodium Hypochlorite (13-15%) delivered in 50-gallon drums, with an anticipated usage of 6-12 drums per year. 3. Sodium Bisulfite (38-40%) for chlorine residual destruction, with an anticipated usage of 800 to 1,000 gallons per season. 4. Gaseous Chlorine (150 lb cylinders) for disinfection of municipal potable water, with an anticipated usage of 25 to 30 cylinders per year. 5. Zinc-Orthophosphate as a corrosion inhibitor in potable water systems, with an anticipated usage of 15-25 drums per year. Each chemical must meet specific AWWA standards and be delivered according to outlined specifications including delivery schedules and quality assurance measures such as certificates of analysis.

Period of Performance

The contract term will run from July 1, 2026 through June 30, 2027.

Place of Performance

Deliveries will be made to various locations within Greenfield, Massachusetts including: - Water Pollution Control Plant at 384 Rear Deerfield St. - Millbrook Wellfield at 195 Log Plain Rd. - Oak Hill Filter Plant.

Bidder Requirements

Bidders must comply with all local regulations and provide necessary documentation including Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS), certificates of analysis for each chemical supplied, and proof of insurance coverage as specified in the contract documents. Bidders must also not be in default on any obligations to the City and must provide a certification of tax compliance.
