Vegetables Frozen, Assorted

Background

The Oregon Department of Corrections (ODOC) is issuing this Invitation to Bid (ITB) for the procurement of assorted frozen vegetables. The goal of this contract is to supply the ODOC with various frozen vegetable products to be delivered to their Central Distribution Center located in Salem, Oregon. This procurement is conducted under the authority granted by ORS 421.438 and OAR 291-164-0120.

Work Details

The contractor will provide assorted frozen vegetables as specified in Section 4 of the ITB. The specific items include: 1. Vegetables Green Beans - Estimated quantity: 40,000 pounds (1 Full Truck Load). 2. Vegetables Zucchini - Estimated quantity: 40,000 pounds (1 Full Truck Load). 3. Vegetables Peppers - Estimated quantity: 40,000 pounds (1 Full Truck Load). 4. Vegetables Peas - Estimated quantity: 80,000 pounds (2 Full Truck Loads). All products must meet specified quality standards including Grade A or B classification and must be free from excess water. The vegetables must be adequately described with type of cut and labeled appropriately.

Period of Performance

The contract period will commence upon issuance of a Purchase Order, with deliveries expected within 40 days after receipt of order.

Place of Performance

Deliveries will be made to the Oregon Department of Corrections Central Distribution Center located at 3601 State Street, Salem, OR 97301.

Bidder Requirements

Bidders must comply with all applicable federal, state, and local laws regarding food safety and labeling. Additionally, bidders must certify compliance with Oregon tax laws and may need to provide proof of certification for any claimed preferences such as Buy Oregon preferences for goods fabricated or processed in Oregon.
