Milk & Dairy Products for Des Moines Residential Correctional Facility

Background

The State of Iowa is seeking a single vendor to provide Milk & Dairy Products for the Fort Dodge Residential Correctional Facility. The goal of this Request for Bids (RFB) is to solicit bids from qualified providers to supply necessary goods and services to the Lead Agency and any Participating Agencies. The contract may be extended at the discretion of the Lead Agency.

Work Details

The contract includes the provision of Milk & Dairy Products, specifically: 1) White Skim Milk in 5-gallon containers, with an estimated purchase of 20 bags per week for the Fort Des Moines location and 5 bags per week for the Women's Correctional Facility. The vendor must also provide two-port 5-gallon milk dispensers. Pricing will be based on May's Class I price per CWT published by the USDA, and all prices include delivery.

Period of Performance

The contract term will begin on September 26, 2026, and end on September 25, 2027, with an option for up to three annual extensions.

Place of Performance

The products will be delivered to the Fort Dodge Residential Correctional Facility and the Women's Correctional Facility in Iowa.

Bidder Requirements

Bidders must comply with specific requirements including reading and certifying their bid, agreeing to shipping terms (FOB Destination, Freight Prepaid), and submitting a quarterly sales report in Microsoft Excel format. Bidders must also agree to payment terms allowing the State of Iowa sixty days to pay invoices.
