Summary (Newest Update)

Background The Kansas City VA Medical Center (KCVAMC) Audiology Clinic requires a state-of-the-art Audiology Sound Booth to restore essential clinical services after damage caused by a plumbing breach. This Sources Sought announcement is issued by the Department of Veterans Affairs to gather information on potential qualified businesses capable of fulfilling this requirement. Deliverables include: - CLIN 0001 – Eckel CL-224 LP2 Prime Mod Audiology Sound Booth, Quantity: 1 EA - CLIN 0002 – Installation, Quantity: 1 JB Period of Performance The geographic location(s) the product will be delivered to or performed at Place of Performance Kansas City VA Medical Center, 4801 E Linwood Blvd, Dept 126, Kansas City, MO 64128 Bidder Requirements Bidders must provide an authorized provider letter from the OEM, brochures of products being offered including specifications, and demonstrate their capability through references with contract numbers. Additionally, bidders must comply with requirements for Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSB) and Veteran Owned Small Businesses (VOSB). Incumbent Analysis (see Incumbents section for more detail) This opportunity appears to have a closely related prior contract for the same type of work, with Defense Venture Holdings identified as the awardee on contract 36C25524P0638 (09/16/24–03/16/25) valued at $28,050 for the “purchase of audio booth with installation.” The current requirement similarly calls for an audiology sound booth (Eckel CL-224 LP2 Prime Mod) and includes installation at the Kansas City VA Medical Center, suggesting the prior effort likely involved supplying and installing an audiology sound booth as a continuation of the same facility need.
