Summary: Background The Medicine Mountain National Historical Landmark Site Improvement Project is issued by the USDA Forest Service, Intermountain Region. The project aims to enhance the historical landmark site through various construction activities, including fencing and entrance gate rehabilitation. The goal is to preserve the integrity of the site while improving its accessibility and safety for visitors. Work Details The contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, tools, equipment, and services for the following work: 1. Remove and replace fencing, including fence posts and rope. 2. Gate rehabilitation and associated hardware revitalization. 3. Installation of a parking barrier at the Medicine Wheel/Medicine Mountain NHL adjacent to FSR - 11 (optional). 4. Installation of signs at the Medicine Wheel/Medicine Mountain NHL (government-furnished items - signs only) (optional). 5. Install in-kind flagpole replacement at the Medicine Wheel/Medicine Mountain NHL adjacent to FSR - 11 (optional). The existing fence consists of untreated wood posts/poles and rails. The replacement fence will serve as a visual barrier delineating entrance locations. The project also includes mobilization at the site. Period of Performance The contractor must begin performance within 10 calendar days after receiving notice to proceed and complete all work no later than September 15, 2026. Place of Performance Bighorn National Forest, Tongue Ranger District, 2013 Eastside 2nd St, Sheridan, WY 82801-9638. Bidder Requirements This solicitation is set aside for small businesses. Bidders must provide a detailed technical approach that demonstrates their understanding of the work involved in providing, removing, and installing fencing and entrance gate rehabilitation as indicated in the Statement of Work (SOW). Additionally, bidders must submit pricing documentation using the provided Excel spreadsheet format.
