The equipment includes various Thermo Fisher products such as the Excelsior Tissue Processor and HM 340E Microtome. This Sources Sought Notice is intended for information and planning purposes only and does not constitute a solicitation or request for proposal. Additionally, a detailed maintenance schedule must be developed, with notifications provided to the Contracting Officer Representative at least one week in advance of scheduled visits. Emergency maintenance services must also be available outside of scheduled visits. Period of Performance Estimated from July 31, 2026, to July 30, 2027, with four subsequent option years. Place of Performance Fort Harrison VA Medical Center, 3687 Veterans Dr., Fort Harrison, MT 59636. Bidder Requirements Bidders must provide a Capabilities/Qualifications Statement that includes an overview of proposed solutions and descriptions of the products available. They should also indicate their business size in relation to Small Business classifications such as Small Disadvantaged Business or Certified Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business. Specific experience with similar equipment and services may be required. Incumbent Analysis (see Incumbents section for more detail) This opportunity appears to have a confirmed incumbent based on prior contract 36C25921C0110 awarded to Richard-Allan Scientific for comprehensive maintenance for a tissue processor (06/23/21–06/22/26, $107,638). The current requirement calls for preventive maintenance services for multiple Thermo Fisher tissue processing and related equipment (e.g., Excelsior and REVOS tissue processors, along with microtome and slide/print systems), which is consistent with a continuation of ongoing maintenance coverage for the same type of laboratory equipment.
