Background The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) is seeking a contractor to provide full-service maintenance and support for the MILabs VECTor-6/CT/OI system, which is essential for high-resolution imaging in pre-clinical biomedical research at the VA Biomolecular Imaging Center. The goal of this contract is to ensure continuous operational readiness and compliance with safety and quality standards, thereby minimizing downtime and supporting VA research objectives. Work Details The contractor shall provide a Full-Service maintenance plan that includes: 1. Two preventative maintenance visits per year, covering system checks, safety and quality control, and replacement of wear-and-tear parts (consumables excluded). 2. Corrective service and repairs, including all necessary parts (vacuum components, crystals, X-ray sources), labor, travel, and lodging. 3. Remote technical support within four hours of notification and on-site service within two business days if remote resolution is not feasible. 4. Installation of all software updates, bug fixes, and upgrades during site visits or remotely. 5. Application support and operational guidance to VA research staff as required. 6. Submission of service reports for each visit and maintaining availability of parts and service. Period of Performance The contract will be performed over a base year with four additional option years. Place of Performance Harry S. Truman Memorial Veterans Hospital, 800 Hospital Drive, Columbia, MO 65201. Bidder Requirements Bidders must provide proof of ability to work on the MILabs VECTor-6/CT/OI system or an authorized service provider letter. Contractors are required to have MILabs-certified field service engineers and application scientists with OEM training and qualifications.
