Background

The Commonwealth of Kentucky, through its Division of Equipment, is seeking to establish a Master Agreement for the procurement of various sizes and types of steel and other metals. This solicitation aims to support the fabrication needs for the state's fleet of vehicles and equipment. The goal is to create a contract that allows for competitive quotes at the time of ordering, ensuring efficient acquisition of necessary materials.

Work Details

Vendors are required to provide a product list/catalog detailing available metal types, sizes, and delivery pricing. The solicitation includes specific line items such as: 1. Steel and Other Metals - 1 EA (including various types such as hot rolled flat bars, rectangle tubes, aluminum sheets, etc.) 2. Delivery Charge - 1 MI (vendors must provide a delivery price per mile and allow for product pickup). Vendors must attend a mandatory virtual pre-bid meeting on June 4th at 9:00 AM Eastern Time to be considered responsive. Only online bids will be accepted; emailed or hard copies will not be accepted.

Period of Performance

The initial contract period will begin upon award and expire on June 30, 2027. There is an option for four additional one-year renewals with written approval from both parties.

Place of Performance

The products will be delivered to the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet Division of Equipment located at 1239 Wilkinson Blvd., Frankfort, KY 40622.

Bidder Requirements

Bidders must submit a product list/catalog with their bid response and provide delivery costs per mile. They must also attend the mandatory pre-bid meeting to avoid being deemed non-responsive. Additionally, vendors must maintain specific insurance coverages including Commercial General Liability Insurance with minimum limits of $1 million per occurrence and $2 million aggregate.
