Notice of Intent to Sole Source Award 75H70926BAO_052 FPSU biomed service The Billings Area Indian Health Service intends to award a commercial, sole source contract under the authority of FAR 6.103-1 to MTX Medical solutions, Billings, MT. The company shall provide Biomedical Preventative Maintenance services on medical devices at Fort Peck Service Unit, Poplar and Wolf Point, MT. MTX Medical solutions is the only source of the services in the area. Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements and is based upon market research This is not a request for competitive proposal and no solicitation is available. Firms that believe they can provide the service are encouraged to identify themselves and give written notification within 7 days of the publication date of this notice. A determination by the Government not to compete this action is within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining to conduct competitive procurement.

Summary: Background The Billings Area Indian Health Service intends to award a commercial, sole source contract to MTX Medical Solutions, Billings, MT. The goal of this contract is to provide Biomedical Preventative Maintenance services on medical devices at Fort Peck Service Unit, Poplar and Wolf Point, MT. MTX Medical Solutions is identified as the only source capable of fulfilling these requirements based on market research. Work Details The contractor will perform Biomedical Preventative Maintenance services required for all biomedical and x-ray equipment located at the Fort Peck Service Unit’s medical clinics, specifically at Verne E Gibbs in Poplar, MT and Chief Redstone in Wolf Point, MT. The maintenance will be conducted according to each device's manufacturer's recommendations for annual maintenance. Specific tasks include: 1) Completing preventative maintenance for each medical device per manufacturer's recommendation; 2) Documenting each medical device's Location, Barcode, Serial Number, Manufacturer, Nomenclature, Model number, PM checklist with results, any equipment issues/comments or required parts. Upon contract award, the contractor has 30 calendar days to complete the maintenance service and 15 calendar days to provide required documentation to the facility manager. Period of Performance 8/1/2026 - 7/31/2027 plus 4 option years. Place of Performance Preventative maintenance will be performed at the Fort Peck Service Unit’s medical clinics: Verne E Gibbs located at 107 H Street, Poplar, MT and Chief Redstone located at 550 6th Ave North in Wolf Point, MT. Bidder Requirements No specific bidder requirements are stated; however, it is implied that only MTX Medical Solutions can fulfill this contract due to their unique capability in the area.
