Background The National Park Service (NPS) is issuing this solicitation to support Death Valley National Park (DEVA) in the procurement of heavy equipment tire and rubber track replacement services. The park operates heavy construction and maintenance equipment in extreme desert conditions, which significantly accelerates tire wear. This contract aims to establish a comprehensive on-site service utilizing certified technicians and specialized equipment to ensure the operational readiness of the park's machinery. Work Details The contractor shall provide all necessary labor, certified technicians, boom trucks, service vehicles, rigging, lifting equipment, inflation cages, compressors, nitrogen (if specified), consumables, personal protective equipment (PPE), replacement tires, replacement tracks, valve stems, O-rings, mounting compounds, torque equipment, transportation, disposal services, documentation, and other incidentals required for completion of the work. Specific tasks include: - Removal and replacement of tires and tracks for various types of heavy equipment including: - Wheel Loaders: Cat 950K (4 Tires), Cat 924G (4 Tires), Volvo L90H (4 Tires) - Motor Graders: Cat 140M2 (6 Tires), John Deere 672G (12 Tires total for 2 units) - Equipment Trailer: Landoll 318D (8 Trailer Tires) - Skip Loader: John Deere 210K (4 Tires) - Backhoes: John Deere 410J (4 Tires), Cat 430 (4 Tires) - Mini Excavator: Cat 305E2 (2 Rubber Tracks) All replacement tires and rubber tracks must meet specific performance requirements suitable for operation in extreme desert environments. Period of Performance The contract will be performed from June 22, 2026 to October 20, 2026. Place of Performance Death Valley National Park – Various Maintenance Facilities and Remote Field Locations.
