On-Call Architectural and Engineering Services

Background

The County of Sacramento operates four airports, including Sacramento International Airport, through its Department of Airports. This Request for Proposals (RFP) aims to solicit proposals from qualified service providers to deliver on-call architectural, engineering, and cost estimating services. The goal is to establish multiple professional services contracts with selected consultants for a defined term and maximum compensation amounts, without guaranteeing a minimum level of services.

Work Details

The selected consultants will provide a range of services on an as-needed basis, including: - Architectural services - Civil engineering - Structural engineering - Mechanical/Plumbing engineering - Electrical engineering - Cost estimating services. Services may include feasibility studies, facility assessments, programming, tenant improvements, paving, renovations, new construction, deferred maintenance, infrastructure upgrades, code compliance improvements, and emergency response work. Each task order will specify the scope, deliverables, schedule, and compensation for the project.

Period of Performance

The initial term of the master agreements will be three years with two one-year extension options for a total of five years. The agreements are expected to commence in November 2026.

Place of Performance

Services will be performed at various locations within Sacramento County's airport facilities.

Bidder Requirements

Consultants must be registered with the California Secretary of State and maintain insurance and workers' compensation coverage that meets or exceeds County requirements. They must also have at least five years of continuous experience in providing relevant consulting services to public agencies or similar clients.
