Sanding Materials 1-Location Billings Area

Background

The Montana Department of Transportation (MDT) is issuing a solicitation for the procurement of sanding materials specifically for the Billings area. The goal of this contract is to ensure the availability of necessary sanding materials for transportation and road maintenance purposes, aligning with MDT's mission to provide a safe and efficient transportation system.

Work Details

The contract requires the provision of sanding materials under two options: - Option #1 includes 3,750 tons of sanding material. - Option #2 includes 2,500 cubic yards of sanding material. Additionally, both options require mobilization as a lump sum item. The quantities specified are estimated and may vary based on actual needs.

Period of Performance

The contract performance period begins upon award and extends until the delivery requirements are fulfilled. Bids will be accepted until June 9, 2026.

Place of Performance

The contract will be performed in the Billings area of Montana.

Bidder Requirements

Bidders must provide bid security if their total bid is $150,000 or greater, which should be based on 10% of the total bid/offer. Bidders are also required to comply with the Single Point of Contact requirement and review all general information related to the Invitation For Bid (IFB).
