Sanding Material 2 Locations Kalispell Area

Background

The Montana Department of Transportation (MDT) is issuing an Invitation for Bid for the procurement of sanding material to be used in the Kalispell area. The goal of this contract is to ensure the availability of necessary sanding materials for transportation and road maintenance, aligning with MDT's mission to provide a safe and efficient transportation system.

Work Details

The contract requires the provision of sanding material in two options: - Option #1: 4,500 tons of sanding material - Option #2: 3,000 cubic yards of sanding material Both options also require mobilization as a lump sum item. The quantities specified are estimated and may vary based on actual needs. Bidders must comply with all specifications outlined in the Kalispell 2 Locations Sanding Material Specifications document attached to the solicitation.

Period of Performance

The contract performance period is from May 18, 2026, when bids open, until June 8, 2026, when bids close.

Place of Performance

The contract will be performed in the Kalispell area of Montana.

Bidder Requirements

Bidders must provide bid security if their total bid is $150,000 or greater, which should be based on 10% of the total bid/offer. Additionally, bidders must comply with the Single Point of Contact requirement and review all questions and answers related to this solicitation through the eMACS Q&A Board.
