Sanding Material 4 Locations Kalispell Area

Background

The Montana Department of Transportation (MDT) is issuing a solicitation for bids to procure sanding material for four locations in the Kalispell area. This contract aims to ensure the availability of necessary sanding materials for transportation and road maintenance, aligning with MDT's mission to provide a safe and efficient transportation system.

Work Details

The contractor will be responsible for providing sanding material in two options: - Option #1 includes 9,000 tons of sanding material. - Option #2 includes 6,000 cubic yards of sanding material. Additionally, mobilization is required as a lump sum item for both options. The quantities specified are estimated and may vary based on actual needs.

Period of Performance

The contract period begins on May 18, 2026, and will close on June 8, 2026. The exact duration of performance will be determined upon contract award.

The work will be performed at four designated locations within the Kalispell area.

Bidder Requirements

Bidders must comply with the Single Point of Contact requirement and review the IFB General Information. Bids totaling $150,000 or greater must include bid security based on 10% of the total bid/offer. Additionally, bidders must certify compliance with nondiscrimination against firearms entities as per Montana law.
