HHS WRC Campus Utility Decentralization Phase 5

Background

The Iowa Department of Administrative Services is issuing a solicitation for the demolition of utilities in tunnels, re-routing of water lines, and filling tunnels with grout at the Woodward Resource Center located in Woodward, Iowa. The goal of this contract is to facilitate utility decentralization as part of ongoing improvements at the facility. The anticipated construction period is from July 6, 2026, to June 30, 2028.

Work Details

The contractor will be responsible for: - Demolition of utilities in tunnels - Re-routing of water lines - Filling tunnels with grout. Specific bid packages include:

Abatement

BP 03-1

Tunnel Infill

BP 22-1

Plumbing

BP 26-1

Electrical. Alternates include demolition of powerhouse and chiller plant equipment. Unit prices are also requested for demo and replacement of tunnel lids.

Period of Performance

Construction is expected to begin on July 6, 2026, and conclude by June 30, 2028.

Place of Performance

Woodward Resource Center, 1251 334th Street, Woodward, Iowa 50276.

Bidder Requirements

Bidders must comply with affirmative action/equal employment opportunity provisions as mandated by state and federal laws. A bid security amounting to 5% of the total bid must accompany submissions. Bidders must also be registered with the Iowa Labor Commissioner as required by state law.
