Shared Services Agreement – Use of Styrofoam Densifier (Waldwick)

A recent meeting document Ridgewood - Village Council Meeting - 2026-05-13 indicates a future potential acquisition Authorizes a Shared Services Agreement with the Borough of Waldwick for the use of the Village’s Styrofoam densifier. The Borough of Waldwick will deliver the Styrofoam collected in the Borough of Waldwick to the Village of Ridgewood, and will pay the Village of Ridgewood $5/bag. The Village of Ridgewood will then process the Styrofoam through the Styrofoam densifier and sell the finished material to a company which manufactures products out of the densified Styrofoam. This agreement may present opportunities for vendors involved in recycling, logistics, or materials processing.
