State Legislative Services

Background

The Regional Transit Authority (RTA) is seeking a vendor to provide State Legislative Services as outlined in Request for Proposals (RFP) #2026-014-1. The RTA aims to enhance its legislative efforts and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. This initiative is part of the RTA's commitment to improving public transportation services in the region.

Work Details

The selected vendor will be responsible for providing comprehensive State Legislative Services, which may include but are not limited to: - Monitoring state legislation relevant to the RTA - Providing analysis and recommendations on legislative issues - Assisting with advocacy efforts - Facilitating communication between the RTA and state legislators. The vendor must demonstrate a thorough understanding of the legislative process and experience in working with government entities.

Period of Performance

The contract period will be specified in the final contract agreement, with proposals due by June 16, 2026.

Place of Performance

Services will be performed primarily in Louisiana, focusing on state legislative activities that impact the RTA.

Bidder Requirements

Bidders must comply with all applicable federal, state, and local laws regarding Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBEs). While no specific DBE goal has been established for this project, bidders are encouraged to engage DBEs in their proposals. Additionally, bidders must submit a Non-Collusion Affidavit and ensure compliance with all requirements outlined in the RFP.
