SLCo FAC130192 Controls Contractor Multiple Award

Background

Salt Lake County, through the Division of Facilities Management, is seeking proposals from qualified Controls Contractors to provide services related to Alerton Controls, Johnson Controls, and Niagara Control platform controls. The goal is to establish a pool of 3-5 qualified contractors who can be utilized on an as-needed basis for various projects involving programming, repairs, solution consulting, and coordination with commissioning agents for commissioning and re-commissioning.

Work Details

The selected contractors will provide the following services: 1. Installation and modification of control systems. 2. Programming that adheres to County and ASHRAE standards. 3. Parts procurement, repair, and replacement services. 4. Assistance to County Controls Specialists, HVAC Specialists, Energy Managers, and Project Managers as needed. 5. Compliance with sustainable building practices including High Performance Building Standards (HPBS) and LEED® Gold level standards for new construction and major retrofit projects.

Period of Performance

The contract will be effective for a six-year term from the date of execution of the RFP Pool Agreement.

Place of Performance

Services will be performed at various public facilities owned by Salt Lake County.

Bidder Requirements

Proposers must meet specific qualifications including: 1. Certification in Alerton programming with a minimum of five years' experience; optional certifications in Johnson Controls and Niagara are preferred. 2. Proof of Workers’ Compensation Insurance and Liability Insurance as specified in the RFP. 3. A proven performance record in the State with references from previous clients within the last three years.
