Background The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Veterans Health Administration (VHA), Network Contracting Office 19 (NCO 19) is seeking potential sources for Elevator Inspection Services for the Sheridan Wyoming Health Care System. The goal of this contract is to ensure that all elevators within the facility are inspected and maintained in compliance with safety regulations and standards. Work Details The contractor shall provide all certified and trained personnel, labor, supervision, equipment, tools, materials, supplies, insurance, and transportation necessary to perform annual, semi-annual, and five-year elevator inspections. Inspections must comply with ASME A17.1 requirements, NFPA Life Safety and Fire Codes, OSHA regulations, and local/state/federal codes. Specific tasks include: - determining safe operating conditions of equipment; - cleaning equipment as necessary; - removing parts to assess conditions; - conducting inspections during normal working hours; - providing individual service reports within 45 days of inspection; - reporting safety deficiencies immediately. The contractor will inspect various types of elevators including hydraulic and traction models from manufacturers such as Dover Elevator and Otis Elevator.
