The Town of Brandon, Vermont, is seeking sealed bids for its Summer 2026 Class 2 Road Paving project. The purpose of this contract is to enhance the town's road infrastructure, ensuring safe and reliable transportation for residents and visitors. The project aims to improve specific road segments within the town.
The scope of work includes the following: - Emulsion to be sprayed at a rate of 0.025 to 0.3 gallons per square yard; - A ¾” depth shim using ⅜” material; - A 1¼” top coat using ½” material. Key tasks include: 1. Union St (T.H. #5): Shim and overlay from #500 (Maple St junction) to south of driveway #1157. 2. McConnell Rd (T.H. #8): Shim and overlay from Wood Ln junction to the road's south end at US Route 7. Bids must include all labor, materials, removal, driveway aprons, mobilization and demobilization, overhead, profit, insurances including worker’s compensation, traffic control devices and personnel, and construction signage as per MUTCD standards. All work must comply with the State of Vermont Agency of Transportation (VTrans) Standard Specifications (current edition). Bidders are required to submit their proposals on the Town’s bid form or an equivalent document containing all necessary information.
Work is expected to begin no earlier than Wednesday, July 1, 2026, and must be completed by Friday, October 16, 2026.
The work will be performed in Brandon, Vermont along specified sections of Union Street and McConnell Road.
Bidders must provide a certificate of insurance with a combined single limit of $1 million naming the Town of Brandon as additional insured with each bid submission. A completed Form W9 is also required. No bid bond or certified check is necessary.
