Background

The Kansas Department of Corrections (KDOC) is seeking competitive proposals from qualified vendors to provide Transitional and Emergency housing for individuals recently released from incarceration. The KDOC aims to establish multiple contracts and collaborative partnerships across the State of Kansas to deliver these essential programs and services, thereby supporting the reintegration of individuals into society.

Work Details

The contractor will be responsible for providing Transitional and Emergency housing services, which may include but are not limited to: - Safe and secure housing facilities - Supportive services that assist individuals in transitioning back into the community - Coordination with local agencies and organizations to ensure comprehensive support - Regular reporting on occupancy rates, service delivery, and participant outcomes. The contract may also involve collaboration with other service providers to enhance the effectiveness of the housing program.

Period of Performance

The contract period will commence upon award and extend through June 30, 2029, with an option for two additional twelve-month renewals.

Place of Performance

Services will be performed throughout the State of Kansas, with specific locations to be determined based on the needs of the population served.

Bidder Requirements

Bidders must be registered with the State of Kansas prior to the bid closing date. They must comply with all applicable federal and state laws, including those related to immigration reform. Additionally, bidders should have a minimum of five years of experience in providing similar services. The contractor must also certify that they are not engaged in any boycott against Israel as per HB 2482.
