Background The Laramie Ranger District of the Medicine Bow - Routt National Forest is seeking a contractor to conduct stand examinations and related data collection activities. The goal of this contract is to gather critical information regarding forest stands post-fire, which will aid in forest management and restoration efforts. The contractor will be responsible for providing all necessary labor, equipment, transportation, supervision, and supplies to fulfill the requirements outlined in the solicitation. Work Details The contractor shall perform stand examinations in compliance with the terms, specifications, conditions, and provisions of this solicitation. Specific tasks include: 1) Conducting stand examinations as per the attached Performance Work Statement (PWS), Chapter 4 of the Common Stand Exam User Guide, and region-specific appendices. 2) Collecting data on a specified number of plots within the Laramie Ranger District. The mandatory task includes examining 656 plots under FY26_LRD_PostFire_CSE and an optional task for an additional 409 plots if exercised. 3) Providing a Quality Control Plan (QCP) that demonstrates how contract requirements will be met. 4) Assigning key personnel including a Contractor Representative and designated crew leaders responsible for ensuring compliance with measurement accuracy standards. 5) Preparing a Proposed Operation Plan that outlines the schedule for performing work phases, including safety and bio-preferred plans. Period of Performance The period of performance for this contract is anticipated to begin on June 1, 2026, and may extend until November 30, 2026, depending on the exercise of optional line items. Place of Performance The work will be performed at various locations within the Laramie Ranger District of the Medicine Bow - Routt National Forest.
