Beach Area Site Improvements at Grafton Lakes State Park

Background

The New York State Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation (OPRHP) is issuing a solicitation for Project SA-GL-2025-001, which involves Beach Area Site Improvements at Grafton Lakes State Park located in Rensselaer County, New York. General Construction Contract (D006603) - This includes the replacement of aging underground utility lines, installation of new walkways, planting, signage, and related site work. The estimated cost for this component is between $1,571,151 and $2,125,675. 2. Electrical Contract (D006604) - This involves the replacement of aging underground electrical services and installation of new site lighting with an estimated cost between $262,041 and $354,525.

Period of Performance

The project is expected to be completed within 300 days after the agreement has been approved by the New York State Comptroller’s Office.

The work will be performed at Grafton Lakes State Park, located at 254 Grafton Lakes State Park Way, Grafton, Rensselaer County, New York.

Bidder Requirements

Bidders must meet specific Minority and Women-Owned Business Enterprise (MWBE) participation goals: 13% MBE and 17% WBE for General Construction Contract D006603; 10% MBE and 20% WBE for Electrical Contract D006604. Additionally, bidders must register with the Bureau of Public Work and Prevailing Wage Enforcement prior to bidding on public work projects. A Performance Bond and a Labor and Material Bond/Payment Bond are required for 100% of the contract amount.
