Middle Road Resurfacing, Drainage Improvements and Related Work Project

Background

The Town of Clarksburg, through its Town Administrator, is seeking sealed bids from contractors approved by the Massachusetts Department of Transportation (MassDOT) for the Middle Road Resurfacing, Drainage Improvements and Related Work project. The goal of this contract is to enhance the infrastructure of Middle Road to ensure better drainage and road conditions.

Work Details

The work includes cold in place recycling and paving approximately 3,950 feet of Middle Road from the North Adams-Clarksburg Town Line north to the Cross Road intersection. This project also encompasses drainage improvements and related work necessary for effective road maintenance.

Period of Performance

The construction is scheduled to begin on July 20, 2026, with substantial completion expected by November 16, 2026. Final completion is anticipated by November 30, 2027.

Place of Performance

The contract will be performed in Clarksburg, Massachusetts.

Bidder Requirements

Only contractors prequalified by MassDOT are eligible to bid on this project. Bidders must submit a detailed summary of similar projects they have completed or are currently undertaking, including owner contact information. Bids must not exceed the contractor's prequalification limit set by MassDOT.
