The MSHA's Approval & Certification Center (A&CC), located in Triadelphia, West Virginia, plays a critical role in testing and certifying mining products to ensure the safety and health of miners. The center evaluates equipment and materials for compliance with federal regulations, thereby contributing to the overall safety of the mining workforce. This contract aims to maintain the physical facilities at A&CC through necessary asphalt repairs and maintenance. Work Details The contractor shall provide all personnel, equipment, tools, materials, supervision, and other items necessary to demolish/dispose of existing asphalt surfaces and install new asphalt at MSHA’s A&CC campus. Specific tasks include: 1. Cleaning and preparing existing asphalted driveways and parking lots; 2. Filling cracks with hot applied crack sealant; 3. Sealcoating asphalt lots with a specified sealant; 4. Applying hot tar where asphalt meets concrete; 5. Line striping using DOT approved paint; 6. Milling at start/stop points adjacent to concrete pads for proper drainage; 7. Constructing concrete collars around stormwater catch basins; 8. Placing hot mix asphalt top layers; 9.
