Background The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) intends to award a sole source contract to Imaging Business Machines, LLC (IBML) of Irondale, AL for hardware and software maintenance and support for five IBML scanners currently installed on the ATF network. This contract is necessary as IBML is the sole source provider for all maintenance, training, modifications, or customizations of its proprietary software. The agency requires these services to ensure operational continuity and compliance with their mission. Work Details The contract includes hardware and software maintenance and support services for the following IBML brand name scanners: - Four (4) IBML ImageTrac 6 Lite Scanners - One (1) IBML Fusion 8200 - One (1) IBML Fusion 8300. Bidder Requirements IBML is the only vendor authorized to provide complete software and hardware maintenance and support for its scanners. No third-party vendors are authorized to resell or provide maintenance services for IBML products. The source coding remains proprietary with no access provisions available for modification or custom development.
