Pierce Street Resurfacing

Background

The Township of Franklin, located in Somerset County, New Jersey, is seeking bids for the resurfacing of Pierce Street as part of its Street Resurfacing 2026 project. The goal of this contract is to enhance the infrastructure and ensure safe road conditions for residents and visitors. The contract number for this project is B26-010-ENG.

Work Details

The contractor will be responsible for the complete resurfacing of Pierce Street, which includes all necessary materials, labor, and equipment to perform the work according to the specifications provided by the Township. Drawings and plans must be obtained in person from the Purchasing Administrator's office. The contractor must also comply with all local regulations and standards during construction.

Period of Performance

The contract work is expected to commence upon issuance of a Notice to Proceed and must be completed within 60 days from that date.

Bidder Requirements

Bidders must submit a certified check or bid bond amounting to 10% of the total bid price (not exceeding $20,000) along with a Certificate (Consent of Surety) from an authorized Surety Company. Bidders must also comply with New Jersey's Prevailing Wage Act and provide proof of business registration with the State. Additionally, they are required to submit names of any subcontractors they intend to use for specialty trades such as plumbing, HVAC, electrical work, and structural steel.
