Background The Norfolk Naval Shipyard (NNSY) is seeking to rent equipment for the Ford Project at Pier 5A. The goal of this contract is to provide essential air compression and drying services through the rental of specific equipment that meets stringent specifications. Work Details The contractor will provide three (3) 800 cubic feet per minute (CFM) Grade D Air Compressors and three (3) Regenerative Air Dryer Units with a minimum capacity of 930 CFM. The compressors must be oil-free, rotary screw designs capable of delivering Grade D air as per CGA G-7.1 or ISO 8573-1 Class 0. Each compressor must include an electric moisture separator after the cooler, be electrically powered suitable for 460 VAC, 3-phase, 60HZ, and capable of running on a 400 amp circuit breaker. They should operate continuously outdoors and withstand exposure to weather and saltwater air, with all components meeting or exceeding NEMA Type 4 standards for outdoor use. The compressors must have fully automatic controls, alarms, and indicators requiring minimal monitoring. Period of Performance The anticipated period of performance is from June 1, 2026, to May 17, 2027, with two six-month option periods. Place of Performance The work will be performed at the Norfolk Naval Shipyard (NNSY), specifically inside the NNSY waterfront CIA area in support of the Ford Project at Pier 5A.
