New Network Video Recorders (NVRs)

Background

The Virginia Railway Express (VRE) is a commuter rail service linking the District of Columbia and Northern Virginia. It is jointly owned by the Northern Virginia Transportation Commission (NVTC) and the Potomac and Rappahannock Transportation Commission (PRTC). The purpose of this Invitation for Bids (IFB) is to establish a contract with a qualified contractor to provide five new Dell PowerEdge XR5610 Servers, which will serve as Network Video Recorders (NVRs) for VRE's existing security camera system. VRE began operations in 1992 and aims to enhance its service through infrastructure improvements outlined in its System Plan 2050.

Work Details

The contractor will provide five (5) new Dell PowerEdge XR5610 Servers. These servers are specifically required to function as Network Video Recorders (NVRs) for the existing security camera system used by VRE. Bidders must demonstrate reliability, ability, and experience in providing new server equipment.

Period of Performance

The contract period will commence upon execution of the contract following the bid award and will continue until all servers are delivered and accepted by VRE.

The delivery location for the servers is specified as Virginia Railway Express, 1500 King Street, Suite 202, Alexandria, VA 22314.

Bidder Requirements

Bidders must be qualified and experienced companies regularly established in providing new server equipment. They must also demonstrate financial responsibility through prior work performed. Additionally, bidders must comply with federal requirements as applicable, including debarment status certifications.
