Background This solicitation is issued by NAVFAC Mid-Atlantic for the replacement of the roofing system at Rockwell Hall Gymnasium, Building 3147, located at Joint Expeditionary Base Little Creek - Fort Story in Virginia Beach, Virginia. The goal of this contract is to ensure the integrity and functionality of the roofing system to meet operational needs and sustainability goals. Work Details The scope of work includes: 1. Removal and replacement of the existing 2-ply or 3-ply modified bitumen roofing system at barrel and flat roof areas. 2. Removal and replacement of existing R-20 rigid insulation at barrel and flat roof areas. 3. Removal and replacement of wall flashing, rake flashing, counterflashing, base flashing, and metal coping. 4. Removal and replacement of gutters and downspouts with new copper gutters and downspouts. The project requires a complete new insulated roof system design and construction services for the entire facility roof system, including all ancillary work necessary for a watertight installation.
