THE WORK CONSISTS OF

Furnish all labor, materials, and equipment necessary to perform hazard tree removal, traffic control, stump grinding, and site landscaping at one (1) location within the Tully Lake Dam property. The site location consists of approximately 525 feet along the west side of Athol-Richmond Road (Route 32), which is a state highway in Royalston, MA (See Exhibit A). The work shall include the cutting, chipping, and removal of eighteen (18) hazard white pine trees including all logs, branches, associated debris, and stumps as well as loaming and seeding the disturbed areas. There may be trees that exhibit higher hazard to personnel, property or infrastructure in their condition or precarious location that are included in this work. This procurement is set-aside for small business vendors. The applicable NAICS code is 561730 with a Small Business Size Standard of $9.5 Million. ALL VENDORS MUST HAVE AN ACTIVE REGISTRATION IN SAM.GOV AT THE TIME OF SUBMISSION IN ORDER TO BE CONSIDERED. ANY VENDOR THAT DOES NOT HAVE AN ACTIVE SAM.GOV REGISTRATION WILL BE REJECTED AS NON RESPONSIVE.

The purpose of this contract is to ensure the safety and integrity of the area by removing hazardous trees that pose risks to personnel, property, and infrastructure. Work Details The contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, and equipment necessary to perform the following tasks: 1. Remove eighteen (18) hazard white pine trees flagged for removal due to their proximity to powerlines and government buildings. This includes cutting, chipping, and removing all logs, branches, associated debris, and stumps. 2. Grind or remove nineteen (19) stumps to a minimum depth of eight (8) inches below the soil surface and backfill with clean loam/topsoil. 3. Conduct wood chipping of all brush and limbs resulting from tree removal; wood chips must be removed offsite. 4. Backfill and grade all disturbed areas with clean loam/topsoil free of trash and invasive weeds, followed by seeding with perennial grass to promote turf regeneration. 5. Ensure compliance with safety regulations including submission of an Accident Prevention Plan and Activity Hazard Analysis prior to commencement of work.
