Background The contract is issued by the Argonne National Laboratory, operated by UChicago Argonne, LLC, under Prime Contract No. DE-AC02-06CH11357. The mission of the laboratory is to advance science and technology through research and development. The goal of this contract is to procure a Sulfuric Acid Pump System that meets specific technical requirements as outlined in the solicitation. Work Details The contractor is required to supply a 90% Sulfuric Acid Metering Pump System, which includes: - (2) Mroy A pumps, Model MRA15F10S5PP, capable of 30 psi and a maximum of 350 psi, constructed from Alloy-20 with PTFE double diaphragms. This system must include a rupture detection gauge and a NEMA 4 pressure switch powered by a 1/2 HP 115/1/60 VAC TEFC motor. - (2) Pressure Relief Valves from Griffco PRG series. - (2) Back Pressure Valves with Check-all Flange Insert rated at 13 psi. - (2) Pressure Gauges with A20 diaphragm seals, measuring 4 inches and ranging from 0-300 psi. - (2) Y-strainers measuring 1/2" SW with a mesh size of 20. - (1) Calibration Column with a maximum capacity of 40 gph made from A20 wetted material and featuring a glass sight tube. - (2) Pulsation Dampeners with a capacity of 10 cuin made from A20 material with Viton bladders. - (10) Ball Valves measuring 1/2" SW, three-piece design rated Class 800. - (6) Ball Valves measuring 1/2" SW x FNPT for drains, also three-piece design rated Class 800. - (1) Base frame made from 304SS including a drip tray for all pumps and piping/components. Place of Performance The products will be delivered to Argonne National Laboratory located at BLDG. 201 OCF, 9700 S. Cass Ave., Lemont, IL 60439.
