Background

The Florida Department of Veterans’ Affairs (FDVA) is issuing this solicitation to establish an agreement for landscaping services at the Emory L. Bennett State Veterans Nursing Home. The goal of this contract is to maintain the property located at 1920 Mason Ave, Daytona Beach, FL, in an attractive and healthy condition throughout the contract period, which begins on July 1, 2026.

Work Details

Contractors are required to provide all vehicles, trailers, storage containers, dumpsters, labor, services, equipment, tools, materials, parts, and supplies necessary for comprehensive landscaping services. Specific tasks include maintaining the grounds to ensure a healthy and beautiful exterior. Services will be performed Monday through Friday between 8:00 AM and 4:00 PM unless prior authorization is obtained from the FDVA Contract Manager. The contractor must adhere to all applicable local, state, and federal codes and regulations.

Period of Performance

The initial term of the agreement will commence on July 1, 2026, and will last for three years until June 30, 2029. There is a possibility for renewal for one additional term not exceeding three years.

Place of Performance

The services will be performed at the Emory L. Bennett State Veterans Nursing Home located at 1920 Mason Ave., Daytona Beach, FL 32117.

Bidder Requirements

Bidders must have a minimum of five years of documented experience in landscaping services. They must also possess all necessary licenses and certifications required to perform the work outlined in the solicitation. Compliance with safety regulations such as OSHA and HIPAA is mandatory.
