Chain for Inventory

Background

The City of Tampa is issuing a Request for Quotes (RFQ) for Chain for Inventory, aimed at various departments within the city. The purpose of this solicitation is to procure specific types of chains necessary for operational needs. The contract will be awarded based on the lowest responsive and responsible bidder, ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.

Work Details

The contract involves providing the following chain products: 1. 800 feet of 3/8 inch Transport Grade 70 Chain. 2. 100 feet of 9/32 inch Alloy Steel Grade 100 Gunnebo Chain. 3. 100 feet of HD Galvanized 3/16 inch Proof Coil Grade 30 with a working load limit of 800 lbs. 4. 100 feet of 1/4 inch Proof Coil Heavy Duty Galvanized Grade 30 Chain. 5. 100 feet of 3/8 inch Proof Coil Heavy Duty Galvanized Grade 30 Chain. 6. 100 feet of 1/4 inch Proof Coil Zinc Campbell Weis Chain.

Period of Performance

The contract will be awarded for a period of one year, with the possibility of extensions based on performance and mutual agreement.

Place of Performance

The delivery location for the chain products will be specified in the purchase order issued by the City of Tampa.

Bidder Requirements

Bidders must be licensed to do business in Florida and provide proof of insurance prior to award. They are required to perform at least fifty-one percent (51%) of the work with their own forces unless written consent to subcontract a greater percentage is obtained from the City. Bidders must also comply with non-discrimination laws and provide documentation regarding subcontractors and suppliers as requested by the City.
