Background

Pinellas County Government is committed to progressive public policy, superior public service, courteous public contact, judicious exercise of authority, and sound management of public resources to meet the needs and concerns of its citizens today and tomorrow. The purpose of this contract is to support Pinellas County’s mission by maintaining the highest quality of tree care, service, and responsiveness for its citizens. This solicitation seeks to establish a contract with qualified vendors to provide Tree Maintenance Services for various County-owned or managed properties.

Work Details

The contractor will provide comprehensive tree maintenance services including but not limited to: 1) Regular maintenance of trees in stormwater facilities, outparcels, administrative buildings, parks, vacant lots, rights-of-way, landscaped medians, environmentally sensitive areas, and other designated sites throughout Pinellas County. 2) Services must adhere to industry best practices and applicable environmental regulations. 3) The contractor is responsible for ensuring that all assigned properties are kept in safe condition year-round.

Period of Performance

The duration of the Agreement will be for a period of 36 months with unit prices adjustable annually based on the Consumer Price Index (CPI) or up to 5%, whichever is less.

Place of Performance

Services will be performed at various locations throughout Pinellas County including administrative buildings, parks, vacant lots, rights-of-way, landscaped medians, stormwater facilities, outparcels, and environmentally sensitive areas.

Bidder Requirements

Contractors must comply with regulatory legislation as per Chapter 75-489 of Florida Laws. They must also be registered with the Florida Division of Corporations and provide proof thereof. Additionally, contractors must have a competency license in a regulated trade to be eligible for award.
