Shelving For Warehouses

Background

The City of Phoenix, through its Water Services Department, is seeking sealed offers for shelving solutions for warehouses. This contract aims to provide comprehensive shelving design, installation, evaluation, and repair services across various city-owned facilities over a five-year period starting approximately on August 1, 2026. The goal is to enhance the efficiency and organization of warehouse spaces utilized by the City.

Work Details

The contractor will be responsible for providing all labor, materials, equipment, supplies, shelving design plans as needed, and any necessary permits for shelving evaluations, designs, installations, reconfigurations, and repairs. Specific responsibilities include: - Conducting evaluations of current shelving systems and proposing new designs as needed. - Installing new shelving or racking systems based on the unique needs of different warehouse locations. - Ensuring all work complies with state and municipal building codes. - Providing clean-up after work completion and restoring disturbed areas to their original condition. - Submitting approval drawings for review before fabrication and providing as-built drawings upon completion. - Ensuring that all materials used are new and from reputable manufacturers. - Responding to service requests within two business days and coordinating schedules with the City’s designated contact person.

Period of Performance

The contract will commence on or about August 1, 2026, and will last for five years.

Place of Performance

Services will be performed at various city-owned warehouse locations throughout Phoenix, Arizona.

Bidder Requirements

Bidders must have been in operation for a minimum of five years and possess a current license registered with the State of Arizona Registrar of Contractors. Acceptable licenses include B-02 General Small Commercial Contractor, B-01 General Commercial Contractor, KB-1 Dual Building Contractor, KB-2 Dual Residential and Small Commercial license, or C-60 Finish Carpentry. Additionally, bidders must provide proof of insurance as required by the solicitation.
