Histology Services

Background

The Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI) is issuing this electronic Request for Quotes (eRFQ) to establish a contract with qualified suppliers to provide Histology Services. The purpose of this procurement is to prepare tissue for histological evaluation from autopsy cases performed at the Medical Examiner Office (MEO) of the Division of Forensic Sciences, GBI. Vendors must meet all minimum specifications and conditions listed in the specifications document to be considered for contract award.

Work Details

The selected vendor will be responsible for preparing tissue samples from autopsy cases for histological evaluation. This includes addressing all minimum specifications and conditions outlined in the specifications document. Vendors must provide affirmative responses and any requested materials for each specification to be eligible for contract award.

Period of Performance

The initial term of the contract will commence upon award and continue until the end of the State’s current fiscal year, which runs from July 1st through June 30th. The State Entity has four one-year options to renew the contract at its discretion.

Place of Performance

Services will be performed at the Medical Examiner Office (MEO) of the Division of Forensic Sciences, Georgia Bureau of Investigation.

Bidder Requirements

Vendors must register in Team Georgia Marketplace™ to conduct business with the State of Georgia. They are required to maintain appropriate insurance coverage, including Workers Compensation Insurance and Commercial General Liability Insurance, as specified in the solicitation. Additionally, vendors must comply with all mandatory requirements outlined in the eRFQ document.
